Shaking the Branches, is a live set of audio collages and texts which form a soundscape composition for electronics and voice.
Built from field recordings from local environments, destructive sound processing techniques, and surrealist writing forms, it explores honesty and abstraction.
It is made exclusively on the machine it is performed on (Roland SP-404 Sampler) to simulate the expression and dynamics of transferring a process of writing music on traditional acoustic instruments to electronic music.Â
A collaboration with five vocalists, they workshopped and arranged spoken and sung parts to music.
